You want scarves? We've got scarves.
hueandmehandmade:
The Spring Hue & Me collection is on Etsy! For the last 3 months lots of folks have asked where and when they can have their Hue & Me scarf fix. I kept saying “soon…soon.” I’m so excited to say that our Etsy shop is back up, in finer form than ever. Enjoy perusing the lineup.
Find us on Etsy here. (also note the nifty Etsy button in the column to the right!)

Color and Marketing
Ragan’s PR Daily found this cool info-graphic via CertaPro Painters. It describes some of the things color can communicate, both in the home and in marketing.

So...can you judge a book by its cover?
Let’s face it, those of us who are visually inclined people do it all the time. Artist Jaz Parkinson created new covers for some of the classics, by tallying specific color mentions throughout the book and then creating a color graph of sorts as the cover. Here is the cover for The Wizard of Oz. It’s quite fitting, with all that green and yellow.
Thanks for sending this in, Becky!...

I am back in Vermont after a week in New York City. It’s a truly amazing place to go for visual inspiration, from the fabric stores in the Garment District, to the flower district on West 28th Street, to the farmers and flea markets of Brooklyn. I soaked it all in, and had a lovely train ride home…
(shameless plug for my other project!)

Weekend Excursion: Marimekko store in VT
I recently discovered that there is a Marimekko outlet in Manchester, VT. It’s been open since the Fall. How this escaped me until recently is beyond me, given how obsessed I am with Marimekko. During our field trip to the store today, we learned it is the ONLY Marimekko outlet in the COUNTRY. And it’s only 1.5 hours south of where I live. I feel so lucky! My friends who came along for...
Kleen Kanteen: Killing It
Kleen Kanteen is stepping up their game in both the colour AND the function departments. I spotted these snazzy bottles this weekend at a food co-op in Northampton. (If you’re curious, I actually did practice restraint and they did not go home with me).
Also, they are making the BEST travel mug I have ever used. Easy to clean, keeps my coffee hot for 6+ hours, and comes in great...

Huge congratulations to Kikkan Randall and Jessie Diggins for their gold medal in the team sprint at the World Championships in Val de Fiemme, Italy today! This is history in the making. The United States has never won gold before in a World Championships. So proud of these women!

When life gives you frigid temps, make ice balls!
Some kids on campus recently made some of these beauties, though I don’t have a photo of the actual ice spheres that inspired this post. Mix food coloring and water and put it into balloons. Put the balloons outside in the freezing Vermont winter, let sit overnight, or with the temps we have had the last few days, just a few hours. Pop the balloon and enjoy the look of color on your lawn...
Happy Birthday, AW!
(wish I’d actually baked this for you.)
A new and lovely discovery
Thanks to Emily @ Clementine, I recently took home my first copy of 3191, the quarterly print publication born out of this project: 3191 Miles Apart. It’s a pricey little number, but so, so inspiring. And beautiful. And I don’t use “so” twice in a row all that often.

My cool cousin Sam makes these bold tees to commemorate soccer teams around the world as they play through the various seasons. Sam is a soccer fanatic with an excellent eye for design. The tees are a great gift for so many kinds of folks on your list, or for you! Check out the whole line here.
